Notice of Barnsley’s Local Plan Examination Consultation 2018
Update : Miller Construction have put forward an alternative site to EC 11 (Moorend Lane) for inclusion in the Local Development Plan as housing allocation for Silkstone Common. It is on the outskirts of the village between Black Horse drive and the Chilli Lodge. Miller Construction and their planning consultant will be addressing Parish Council at their meeting on 9 April at the Silkstone Sports Pavilion.
Barnsley MBC have updated their local plan for development of the borough following the planning inspector’s recommendations.
The consultation period runs until 10am on Monday 12 March 2018 (as this date has now passed updates will be shown here when known).
A parcel of land in Silkstone Common (EC11) is part of the proposed housing allocation and allows for up to 50 homes on the site off Moorend Lane, Silkstone Common during the period of the plan (up to 2033).
The Planning Inspector has issued a document called ‘Inspector’s matters, issues and questions’ which is available online at www.consult.barnsley.gov.uk/portal
The full plan is available to view as a paper copy at Barnsley Central Library, Wellington House where you can also use a computer to see the documents on line at www.barnsley.gov.uk/local-plan-examination
